Brings back fond memories of the area
Anyone familiar with Ouchley's "Bayou Diversity" essays knows he's a gifted writer. Melding the scientific naturalist's observations with his personal experiences and memories is what makes this book a unique and enjoyable read.

My Favorite Illustrator
To be honest, I can't get enough of Jane Ray. There's just something about her drawings that I find exceptional. In this book, the Biblical story of creation is depicted in her beautiful artistic style. A lovely book for all ages to appreciate.
