I've become a Sister Wendy groupie after viewing these programs, again and again. She's everything an art critic should be, making the work and artist come alive and speak to me. ULTIMATE REFERENCE

This is wonderfully written and well produced guide to the Shigaraki form of Japanese pottery. Cannot imagine a more comprehensive reference and history on the subject. Only wish there were more photos, but the text is compelling on its own. If you're interested in any form of Japanese or Japanese-influenced handmade functional pottery -- forms, glazes, firing, history, whatever -- this is the book to have.
