It is difficult to read due to poor quality printing. The words are quite blurred. Looks a bit like a bad photocopy in places. That said, it is a good book to browse through, especially if you love Victorian and social history.

Il testo è una ristampa fatta on demand. La riproduzione di alcune pagine è illeggibile (vedi pp. 176,192,582,584,626 foto allegate) a titolo esemplificativo. In altre pagine la stampa è distorta, si stenta a decifrare lo scritto. Inoltre il testo l'ho acquistato il 9 maggio e mi è giunto solo il 27, ben oltre la tempistica indicata nell'inserzione. Ho contattato il venditore che mi ha risposto, imputando la causa del ritardo alla stamperia. Restituirei il libro, ma il venditore risiede in UK

Vol. 1 & 2 arrived safely, well packed and no damage. On first glance, both books look very impressive with attractive covers. However, Vol. 1 has not printed out very well at all. Many of the pages (especially those on the left hand side) are missing text from the sides of the pages. Some pages missing an inch of text on the right hand side of the page, some more and some a little less. It makes reading the book very labourious and irritating and of little use for my family history research

Forgotten Books UK contacted me regarding the printing of the above book. Having sent them photos of some of the affected pages, they acknowledged the issue and offered to rectify without hesitation. They sent out a new book at no cost to me at all and didn't need the original book returned. Their 'no quibble' response to my issue as well as their thorough and timely communication is second to none. Highly recommended. Replacement arrived in perfect condition.
