Poor Quality Knockoff
The battery is a poor quality knockoff, it certainly isn't "genuine", meaning that it isn't branded in any legitimate way. It says Dell all over it, but the fonts are wrong and the serial number is fake. It lasted about two months, presumably by having the charge controller lie about its status. It never had decent life from the start, barely better than the worn out stock unit I just put back in to type this, it now reports a %63 charge no matter what, and simply dies immediately when you disconnect the charger. Waste of time and money. The only positive I can see is that it didn't catch fire and burn down my house.
