Written by an amateur
If you don't mind reading a 3rd grade account of a famous life and their times, then by all means buy this book. Written as if the author was right there to hear intimate conversations and see events as they unfolded. I would hope for a true journalist to write a biography to do this football giant justice.

Mandatory reading
Victoria LePage has written one of the finest books on the esoteric to be found. She has uncovered and explained mysteries that have perplexed a great many scholars. Her writing style is neither didactic nor pedantic. I finished the book and looked for more of her published works. Unfortunately, Ms. LePage is keeping me waiting. If interested in the occult and the Divine Feminine, you must read this work.

Cold shower required for this reading material
Hoping to get first hand stories of actual performances of legends such as Townes, Guy and the other Texas troubadours, all I got were boring stories of a person's frustrated personal and sexual life.
