A good general purpose computing element.
With legendary Dell quality engineering, these small form factor desktops are good entry units. I upgrade mine to 4Gb ram. The 2Gb ssd are big enough to fit a entry sized version of XP, with 8Gb ssd supports full sized version of Xp. It has 64 bit architecture and with enough disk will run 64 bit Windows 7. Runs various versions of Linux smoothly and without issue.
With all its pluses, it has some negatives: No expansion slots, response with dual core 1.6 Ghz cpu is satisfactory, but sometimes sluggish when loading up apps; some software apps complain that they need higher performance video, but there is no expansion slot to upgrade.
All in all, I am pretty satisfied with these units. I give them a solid 4.0 - 4.5 rating.

Nice little package .... but,
The processor is an 1.6 ghz Intel Atom and that says it all. Great in 95% of the cases you would use it for. All in all, I am satisfied.

Good value and fit for Dell Optiplex N160
Bought these to upgrade diskless Optiplex N160 machines to run a modestly sized version of Windows Xp. Worked perfectly as designed. Hit the right price/performance sweet spot.
