New SURECOM SF401-PLUS Portable Frequency Counter with CTCCSS/DCS Decoder mini

Not quite five stars . . . . Here's why:

Don't get me wrong, it's a good product, seems to be well made, and it works for the applications that they describe, and that is checking accuracy of ham radios, both desktop and handhelds. So why not five stars??? It doesn't pick up low power radio signals, like that emitted from a garage door remote control, or any small remote control for that matter. Even if you place it side by side, no go. I deal a lot with automatic gate openers and it would be super handy to know what frequency the gate is operating on. I've purchased several frequency counters, and none so far can pick up the low power signal that the remotes put out. Oh well.

Milwaukee Tools are the very best money can buy!

I have 4 Milwaukee drills at the farm, and we work them really, really hard. This drill replaced one that finally gave up after 10 years of hard use. I purchased this one to replace the one that we literally wore out. I would not ever consider buying any other brand. I am a big Milwaukee fan and like that all of my batteries are interchangeable with other Milwaukee tools, such as the sawzall, circular saws, etc. etc. If you need a tool, and can invest the money, buy Milwaukee and only cry once!!!
