VW Golf MK4 98-03 Front Bumper Spoiler Splitter Lip Chin 25 Anniversary GTI ABS
28 September 2019
Good quality for the money .
First thing first, if you are wanting a replica of the anniversary splitter then this won't be for you as it's a different design , it is more or less the same as the jom airblade , I'm pretty sure its probably the same part but can't be sure , it's looks good and makes the front bumper look deeper which is what I was after as the standard GTi part is quite rounded and disappears under the car. Fitting took about 10 minutes and that included removing the old one , it's a tight fit so popping the lower grills out makes it much easier , there is a slight overhang on either side of mine but I'm sure it says this may be the case on some bumpers but it doesn't bother me I was just happy it fitted so well for an aftermarket part , the finish of the plastic is also very good , I think I will paint mine eventually but for now it looks fine as is
For Nissan Qashqai Tailgate Boot Handle Repair Snapped Clip Kit Clips 2006 -2013

Excellent
Came across this product as I was browsing and I had a family member whose qashqai had suffered common issue if the broken tailgate handle so I thought I would give it a go , the kit comes with a bottle of acetone and 2 new brackets. I broke off all the bits of old plastic I could from the handle and then used a sharp chisel to remove any other small bits on the surface and finished it off with some sandpaper , using a dremel it multitool would have been easier but I went for the quiet option and it worked just fine .In the video it shows the acetone being tipped into the bag so I thought I would do the same , well that was a slight mistake as the bag has holes in it but not to worry I quickly grabbed a small bowl and we were good to go again , I taped up the reg plate holes to try stop any acetone leaking out onto the outside paint , this went well for the most part but a little bit did escape onto the paint and I didn't catch it quick enough resulting in a small area on the underside of bubbled paint so ensure any acetone is removed quickly from the painted areas , the rest was pretty easy brush on the acetone until you feel and see the plastic starting to melt and do the same on the new brackets , this process happens really quick with not much effort at all , I did one at a time and once in position I clamped them in place , after a couple of hours I removed the clamps and was left with a boot handle with 2 new brackets that feel solid and upto the job , only time and use of the handle will tell of this is a lifetime fix but so far so good and it definitely improves on the previous owners attempt of some sort of white sealant / adhesive
