Big quiet IDE drives for FreeNas8 - not SATA but that is OK for my PC
These drives were competitive in price with SATA drives but they are massive IDE drives. They work flawlessly with FreeNas8 in UFS mode. FreeNas8 lets them sleep and you may have to wait about 10 seconds for full access but they spin up quietly. Awesome for storage with an older computer, no SATA adapter needed. Streaming movies or data from the network attached storage is fast. These drives are old school tech but big on storage. I will get SATA adapter for my NAS one day but these work fine and saved me money.

A good choice.
This camera works fine. The directions were a little confusing so it helps to know networking concepts. I have a "No-IP" DDNS account for web access anywhere. The softwares are good for PC, android and it works with my NVR from the same seller. I can view from any web connection and record on my PC and my NVR all at the same time.

security night illumination
it took a while before my IR lights showed up but it was worth the wait. I will be using these to invisibly open up shadows and dark zones for my security cameras. these are affordable and I may consider buying more if the need arrises when building my IP camera system. i hope they will stand the test of time. I may use some silicone sealant as an added precaution to prevent moisture getting inside the power cable housing. that may be over cautious but it can't hurt. they seem to be constructed of a durable metal casing and a metal bracket.
