I bought this t-stat to use as a replacement for a mechanical type dometic t-stat. After failing to get it to work I called the selling rep and was told that it can't be done.

Beware
1 of 5 found this helpful Two days after installing this product my compressor locked up. The complete unit then had to be replaced. The smell of this product is very questionably strong. When it came in contact with the R22 from the low side, the can got very hot due to a chemical reaction.
With over 40 years A/C experience I feel imberessed having been caught up in this gimmic.

It leaks water
The problem with this jack is that water gets around the plastic plug in the top, fills the motor and everything locks up. Either keep a bucket over the jack or seal the plug good with plumbers stool wax.
