Great Study and Personal Use Bible - A well-made Book.
So what's so great about this particular Bible?
Well first up, you are really getting a large Bible in a sturdy, soft, leather-like cover, as opposed to a large paper manuscript wrapped in a flimsy, leather skin - which is great for a Bible this large (230mm x 152mm) - which makes for a great and manageable book.
Secondly, the pages are a bit thicker than your usual wafer thin tissue, which makes them more substantial and less translucent. This makes for a better handling experience. But more importantly, it has allowed manufacturers to use a darker print which makes for an easier, more enjoyable reading experience. The print is black - as opposed to a faint kind of grey, so it's an overall easier read, and thick pages counteract any bleed-through.
Together with good size font; 9.5 - 10.5 (I think) - it's just an all round, good quality, easy and enjoyable experience to read. In a word - This is a Quality Made Book!!!
All that's left after this is whether you like the "Grass Roots Reflections" of Angus Buchan or not. His ideas and insights are encouraging, and helpful. This is not a study Bible, per se - So it's not so much for feeding the brain as it is for feeding the Heart - which I like. And the placement (of those reflections) is not so intrusive as to interfere with reading the scripture itself - so you can basically take it or leave it.
Overall, this is a great, sturdy, high quality, hold together Bible, that is easy to read, and a joy to hold. Highly recommended, and value for money at the price.

A Great Little Bible
As far as little Bibles go, this one is pretty and good.
Just one step up from being able to fit in your "shirt pocket" (which it won't), it makes for a good little Bible.
The leather touch and blue cover feels nice in the hand. The dimensions, (H 175mm x W 124 mm) make is highly portable and easy to stash in your hand bag or whatever. The surprise, however, is the spine - just a tiny 33mm in depth - which makes for a very thin Bible - which only enhances portability! Now, get the dimensions - This is no Bible that will ever open and lay flat for you on a table - But, it's absolutely fantastic for holding in hand and flicking through the pages to the verse you're looking for: Yep, it's a man in the hand Bible.
The tiny 6 pt font might seem to you a bit of a worry, but this problem is countered with dark print and generous line spacing. Surprising as it may seem, the challenge of small print Bibles can easily be overcome if only manufacturers thought to make the space between lines larger - as this book does.
That said, at the price of $26.40, I don't think it's particularly great value for money. (But look around, the same Bible is selling for much more by other sellers).
Nonetheless, it's a Bible I like and one that I use.

Orwell's 1984 reflects the problems of a modern world where the government has too much power, sensors information, and revises history. A classic.
1 of 1 found this helpful Most of us would be familiar with the novel, Nineteen Eighty Four. Therefore, it's really a matter of what edition you buy. With so many different paperbacks on the market, you want a book that has clear print, easy to handle, and you can open wide to read. For these reasons I recommend this particular edition by Penguin because it is a quality paperback.
