About us

I started selling textiles over forty years ago when I worked for Harrods Auction Rooms in London and catalogued their first Textile Auctions. My interest in lace began when I was about five and met an elderly lady who had owned an old fashioned haberdashery in our village. She kept me entertained with a drawer full of lace edged handkerchiefs, but little did she know that this would grow into a fascination with antique lace and particularly the lace made during the 18th Century. I have my own collection, some of which can be seen on my Instagram page "gardenhill_antique_lace" this is regularly updated as I gradually work through the photography.
I list every Monday evening, so there is always plenty to browse. You will find lace from various periods in history, borders and costume pieces, plus lace that can be used for projects and trimming reproduction costumes.

What a surprise! The packaging was impeccable. The first layer was plastic around the box. When the box was opened there was a plastic bag containing 2 sleeves of large bubble wrap with the original fan box in between. The box was wrapped in tissue paper as was the fan. The fan itself is gorgeous. Having the original fan box with the store name makes it complete. The package arrived quickly. This seller has my highest recommendation.
