Cheap and cheerful value-for-money Windows tablet
OK, it's not the fastest tablet in the world, and it's limited by its 1 GB of RAM, but you should be able to use it for most purposes. For example, the Edge browser is fast and compact and works well with the web as long as you don't have a large number of tabs open at any one time. The tablet is great for email, reading books and magazines, drawing (with a suitable stylus), listening to music (though the storage is limited once you've installed a lot of apps), checking the weather and the news, setting alarms, watching videos, and so on. I found that there's even enough storage for a map of England to use for navigation.
Because it runs a full version of Windows 10, you can use it at home to access the files on your PC just by logging it into your home WiFi. And with Windows Remote Desktop Connection, you can access your home PC from wherever you are.
Why run any other OS when you can carry around the desktop experience on an 8" screen?

Worked a treat
The unit was delivered on time at nearby pickup location, making it fast and easy to get to me. It was so well wrapped that it took quite a while getting it out of the packaging. It wasn't as clean as the one shown on the webpage I ordered from, so I had a couple of fingers crossed when my mechanic installed it. But it worked straight away and solved my windscreen winding problem and my central locking problem.
