EZ Cracker Egg Opener Handy Cooking Tool As Seen on TV Separator Strip Shell

Not worth the value of the cheap plastic it's made from

It is difficult to get the two seperating blades to penetrate the egg shell. If the blades do not get a grip on the egg shell then they simply slide along the shell when the handle is squeezed, and the egg remains fully intact. You need to push the two seperating blades into the egg shell while the blades are together first thus creating a small crack in the shell before you squeeze the handle to pry both sides of the shell apart. for smaller eggs I found that there is not enough travel in the squeezing mechanism to pry the shells apart as most of the travel is used up through lowering the upper pressure arm onto the egg but there is no more movement left to get the blades to move apart. It is quite an art to get this machine to work at all. Finally the machine is not dishwasher safe which in this day and age is a real Minus as it needs to be washed by hand individually. It is a product designed around a good concept, yet fails miserably due to the above limitations. Very poor indeed.
