Good read

Standard Steering Damper
The product received didn't look like the what was advertised and was not fitted with the rubber protection Boot. One of the mounting bushes wasn't correctly installed and I had to rectify this myself to install it.. The metal bush that runs through the rubber mounts has a split design and is not solid as on higher quality struts, and being a mechanic by trade and have used Monroe parts exclusively over a 30 year period, was disappointed a little in the quality, from such a 'Highly regarded company.
The Steering damper works fine, just a bit disappointed that it wasn't of the quality from Monroe that I expected and the protection boot didn't come with it. This alone will shorten the life of the product as the shaft is exposed to the elements.
