Errors when copying to drive.

Tried to backup about 600 Gb of mp3 files from another hard drive. Previously copied to a 500Gb drive, but now have more than the drive will hold. Bought the 1Tb drive but it only copied about 60%. Formatted and used a different computer. Same result. Only 60% copied. Cannot create a new folder or even copy a single file. Will play files from the drive, but cannot add any more. Very unimpressed.
