Cheap but inaccurate
I like the idea of having a thermometer which didn't require constant cleaning because of being in different mouths so I tried the infared. Couldn't help notice that in a major pharmacy it cost $43 so I thought it must be of high caliber. However, on EBay, it only cost about $9 so that should have set off some alarms. When I tried it for both my wife and I it reads a full degree lower than our oral thermometer yet it claims to be accurate.
The other aspect of the thermometer signaling a low temperature or normal or a high temperature was nice, along with its quick reading but I couldn't trust its accuracy so it will become a garage sale item for anyone else who doesn't care about accuracy.
