Great for the price
This cable tester works great. At $5 I bought two for different toolboxes. It would be a 5 except the switch is tight and the pressure needed to turn it on feels like I’m going to break it. The other thing is the speed of the lights- even on slow is too fast. If your just making a straight cable it’s not an issue but making a crossover cable takes several runs to catch the right sequence of lights. Tip: make a sticker with the sequence of lights for the crossover and put it under the lights on the receiver. I started this review with a 4 rating and the decided, “Oh why not give it a 5”? It works fine for $5!
