Setup was a pain, but once complete, I'm happy!
Once setup, the scanner works fine! However, the setup is confusing, and the instructions were no help. I had to call Brother support to help me with the setup. The instructions were poor! Complete explanations of all the switches and lights were incomplete. Which is part of the reason the setup was difficult! I had TWO small portable Epson scanners in the past! BOTH failed shortly after their short warranty periods! And both were VERY infrequently used! That's when I went looking for another brand of small briefcase sized scanners. I hope the Brother stands the test of time! I don't need to use a portable scanner very often. The Brother is a little bigger than the Epson's, but the Brother will still fit in my briefcase!

My patriotic tie collection
I'm a CPA. I wear certain "novelty" ties when I visit clients away from my office. Makes for good conversation and the clients never forget me. The "One Nation Under God" tie is the latest addition to my patriotic tie collection.
