Miracle device
After shouting myself hoarse in my mother's direction, I purchased a set of these. The moment it arrived and got popped in her ear, she winced at the loud volume. In short I went from 'shout' mode to comfortable speaking voice. Very good device, highly recommendable in my opinion.
