great idea but...
1 of 1 found this helpful In fact this was just what I was looking for BUT of course it is polarized meaning one of the prongs is larger than the other And on a grounded outlet with the ground prong on the bottom it leaves the socket for your lamp or what ever device on top AND the control knob upside down. This could be somewhat to moderately inconvenient in your application. In short , this product is built down side up
