Not for some applications
3 of 3 found this helpful I purchased this mainly because I repair old radios and often old car radios. I need a decent power supply to do so. The ad stated it was capable of 30 volts at 10 amps. First of all, the manual that comes with it looks like it was written by a grade school kid who doesn't speak English. Second, it generates so much electrical noise it is impossible to use to power an old AM radio, the type of which I repair, because it generates too much interference. For being rated at 10 amps, it comes with little, skinny, 18 gauge leads - try pushing 10 amps through an 18 gauge wire - doesn't work. In fact, when I tried to use it to power an old car radio, at 3 amps, the leads get so hot the insulation almost melts! The leads can be replaced with a heavier gauge set but he spurious noise it generates is intolerable. Not a good product in this reviewers opinion.
