Excellent Book on The WWII Operation Fortitude - How They Deceived Nazi Germany
Excellent book on both Operation North and Operation South - the plans to deceive Nazi Germany in World war II. My father took part in "Operation North" and had no idea what was going on, or for what reason during the war, so tight was there security?
My father was a Royal Engineer who never understood why he was under orders to travel with his men on "Bridging equipment " with his drivers told to travel through every town from Kent to Edinburgh. When going through the towns they had cigarettes & beer offered to them by grateful crowds. Once in Edinburgh he again was ordered to sleep on his "Bridging Equipment", but this time change drivers and head back via the coastal roads to Kent.
Once in Kent he again was ordered to do the same time all over again, he told me the General asked him to do it, all over again, backwards & forwards for over three times. All the times he was told "Don't worry about the Luftwaffe aerial photographs" when my father pointed out that each time they had been photographed from the air.
Honestly, this is a true account and something missed by this author, but what he has told me was the plans my father Bob Crompton took part in Operation North that successfully deceived Hitler & His Army into keeping eighteen divisions guarding Norway anticipating an Allied Army invading Norway. Such and achievement prevented Hitler from reinforcing Normandy.
A brilliant book on what the British Army do the best, deceiving there opponents in battle.

Excellent Book For New Gardeners Interested in Growing Fruit or Veg.
Easy to read book on growing fruits or veg. Well written nd with photos explaining everything for you. Told me things concerning "munching" and "soil" I had taken for granted!!
Easy to simple delve into for one subject, or read from cover to cover. Honestly I have learnt a lot from this Royal Horticultural Society book. Bought there Encyclopedia Of Gardening recently and also there Gardening Through The Year sponsored by The Royal Horticultural Society, but without doubt this is My Favourite book from them all for simply browsing & reading.

Brilliant Book Well Worth Buying and reading for more Info onWWII
Excellent book well worth buying. I thought it would be a slow and very boring book on codes etc, only to find to my amazement a brilliant story that keeps the reader brain working out how they broke the Emperor's Codes.
This work was so vital to our war efforts, which unfortunately for the code breakers was kept so secret for years after the war, that most of the glory went wrongly to USA Code breakers. It was a shared event that helped win us all the war.
Only overshadowed by The Breaking of Enigma codes by Bletchley Park. Both were a brilliant effort of superb brain power, and the ability to read cribs, etc. I have research this war so much, yet found this book better than the story of Station X.
Brilliant book worth buying. Take my word for it!!
