quality and value
Clear glass lenses and comfortable head mount. Four different magnification options allow correct vision for different activities. Really good value

Great read giving glimpses of life at the time of European settlement of Australia.
The short stories really draw the reader in to the life experience of convicts life in colonial Australia. My only criticism is that each chapter is short leaving the reader hanging. Great reference for students interested in colonial Australia.

Essential reading for the curious traveller. A must have book for exploring Australia
This is a great book for the back track traveller that wants experience more than just a superficial understanding. Not only does it help plan trips and interpret each location, it motivates the reader to research at a more detailed level. I have a number of books, including some 40 year old publications by this author and love his style of succinct and concise words that 'cut to the chase' through careful editing and thorough understanding of the subject matter. The colour-coded layout along with a good balance of maps and photographs of each adventure make it a compact reference that is equally at home in your 4wd as your bookshelf at home.
