Still a lot of life in the Garmin Nuvi 680
2 of 2 found this helpful Despite that it is "last year's" technology AND it is a factory refurbished unit, I couldn't be more pleased. Mapping is quick and very accurate, satellite acquisition is fast, MSN traffic and weather info quite helpful on long trips, and Bluetooth works great in rental cars. Points of Interest (POIs) very helpful when on road trip in unfamiliar areas. I highly recommend the Garmin Nuvi 680 (or, one of its successors).

Ready, set, charge
Works like a champ! Fast, simple, reliable. I use it in my bedroom so the clock on the phone is easily visible at night.

Nuvi 760 has a lot to like
1 of 1 found this helpful Let me start with the only thing I do not like as much on the Nuvi 760 as my Nuvi 680. The built-in speaker is smaller and the result is the voice announcements are not as easily heard. That said (no pun intended), the unit is very easy to use, chock full of useful features, and so far - bulletproof. Multiple way points in trip planning is a huge improvement because it lets me add more than one "additional" stop to a planned trip. The Bluetooth phone and music player feature has proven to be aof real value when I use a rental car. I have built-in Bluetooth in my own cars so the feature didn't seem important till I was on a business trip and was able to conform to the hands-free cellphone laws and navigate around areas I was not familiar with. On the whole, I give the unit a 95 out of 100. It, unlike the newest Nuvi units, does not have voice input, otherwise it would be a 99/100. You cannot go wrong with it. Accurate, fast routing, good text to voice so it names your turns, easy to see, easy to read, and the display of speed limits is a help. Go for it.
