It's not Bose but...........a great value.
First, let me say that these are not the best headphones I've ever owned. However, these do a damn fine job of reproducing a stereo soundstage. I've bought two examples of this product and I observe that one does a better job of noise cancelling than the other. I originally intended one pair for outdoor DJ work and the other for my desk at work. Haven't had the chance to test for the outdoor set but the work set performs great. Now a word about "noise cancelling". Just like the "water resistant" watch or the "vibration reduction" camera lens, these terms have to be viewed with a grain of salt. The second word in the phrase really does tell the story. Resistant, and reduction are not the same as elimination. The same goes for "cancelling". When turned on you will notice the noise fade into background. With an audio signal supplied to the headphones the "noise" seems to completely disappear. With the signal removed, you will notice that the noise is still there but so far in the back as to be of little consequence. So, while it may not do as good a job as a set of Bose at noise cancelling and not as good as a set of electrostatic 'phones at music reproduction, for the price it is a great alternative
SANSUI Fully Automatic DD Turntable (Model: P-L40) - Not Fully Tested

Good turntable but not without it's problems
Sansui has always made a decent product and their linear tracking turntables are no exception. However there are a few caveats as they age. They are somewhat more complex and are a little bit more prone to repairs than others. The biggest con is that the cartridge is non replaceable. While there are upgrades for elliptical styli available, the standard is a .7 mil conical. If there is a problem with the cartridge itself, you will be S.O.L.. Also, if you are enterprising enough to try to replace the cartridge, note that there were two styles of tonearms used and they are not interchangeable. And no, they are not "T4P" either. Documentation can be had for the DIYer but it's a little sketchy. Look out for cracked circuit boards which, while they can be repaired are a pain to work on. If you can get one to work properly though, it sounds and works pretty good.
2) Rockville SPGN108 10" Passive 800W ABS Plastic PA Speakers+Stands+Cables+Bags

Objects in the pictures are not as they really are.
Over the years I have purchased different Rockville products. I purchased these based on the strength of another SPGN104 I purchased a while ago. I have been converting these for my DJ work and having multiples of these speakers seemed to be a good way to go Since I already engineered the conversion for one unit, I had made up templates to speed up the construction of the others. Imagine my surprise when unpacking the first of these new ones to find that the case has been totally changed eliminating the side and top handles. These look nothing like the images in the listing. Not only does this mean that I have to get handles separately but the positioning of the internal components that were set up during the original conversion have to be entirely changed around to accomodate the new cabinet design. Also the stands supplied are much heavier and somewhat more crudely constructed than the Ultimate or K&M stands I currently use. As to the sound quality, I have not heard these yet although given the other changes I have seen thus far I am given to wonder if the sound will be as good as the original SPGN104 I purchased.
