Offer and promote a handrail that telescopes on to the frame ends when working over 800 mm
1 of 2 found this helpful Unit well built, however i think it does not meet AU design standards as it has no effective handrail above 800mm platform height. When used at above those levels a 1050 mm high handrail meeting Australian standards should be supplied. Spigots at the top of the ladder sides have been included which would allow someone to make their own from some RHS tubing and an angle rail. I suggest this should be an option on the open side (away from workplace for working at heights). A fall from 1800mm would put someone's life in danger and this unit is suggested as useable at this height. A disclaimer and optional rail should be promoted. I do not think it would be approved to use it in a commercial environment.
