Magellan Promark 3 THALES CX THALES MMCE UBOC Universal Battery Charger X2

CORRECTED: Works OK but too SMALL for a Promark 3 battery.
The charger is simple to use. Move the charging terminals to fit the battery contacts, rotate the sliding retainer to fit a large or small battery and insert battery, wait until the LED lights (to determine polarity?) and plug in. The charger is advertised for a Promark 3 GPS battery, but the battery itself is too long to fit in the charging retainer, even in the long position, by about 1/10". I wanted a spare charger, so I innovated by rubber-banding the battery in. The charging terminals slide far enough apart to fit the battery contacts with the contacts in the low position (label up). With the label down, the contacts are too high. I put the retainer in the long position (shown), inserted the battery, and put a heavy rubber band (or two) on as shown in the picture. Lights came on and I plugged it into the wall. After a while, the LED went out indicating full charge. It seemed to work OK, other than not holding the battery without outside help. Probably works great with smaller batteries with contacts on the end or sides.
