- a***t (464)- Feedback left by buyer.More than a year agoVerified purchaseJust a great person to work with. We had some shipping issues, not the seller's fault. We cannot fix the post office but we can keep communication open and positive as this seller did. We need more sellers like this!Highly recommend

Good basic info.
Chilton’s books tend to try to cover entire generations of vehicles, so some of the issues with a particular car are missed, but for quick reference in most issues, these books are adequate.

easy to install and strong
It was breeze to install because the 2008 Toyota TRD access cab my daughter has already has the threaded inserts in place. The installation on the passenger side I was able to install with bubble on the level centered (keep the hardware lightly making contact with brackets until you verify level, then tighten it). The instructions could use a torque value on the hardware while tightening it, though). The passenger side was a little more challenging to make level on the left-to-right direction. The bubble barely crossed one of the line marks. I did not notice any damage to the bottom surface of the cab that could explain it. I verified I had all the brackets in their designated location (identified as DR (driver-rear), DF(driver-front), and so on for passenger side). However, I just shimmed the brackets slightly in between the bracket and body to achieve the level desired. It could be manufacturing tolerances in the Toyota, Lund Industries, or both. No biggie They claim a capacity of 350 pounds, and seem sturdy enough, but I recommended my daughter to try to not have two full size adults on them at the same time (or about 4 kids), and there should not be any problems. She is very happy with the steps.
