No More Sharp Edges!
Or half-opened cans where your old, dull can opener fails to cut through. This can opener is a game changer.
My husband found our first opener for me earlier this year and he tried to explain how it works in engineering terms. Very technically.
All you need to know is that this opener un-crimps the seal of the can. By first clamping the rotor onto the lip of the can with a half turn or two to get a solid grip with the can opener, you turn the wheel away from yourself until you have made you way around the can. Viola!
The lid comes away from the can because this baby un-crimps the seal, not by cutting the metal of the lid! Here is the best part for those of us who open a can or two every day: neither the lid or the can has a super sharp spur to gash you when you are in a hurry. Stainless steel parts means that you can pop it into the dishwasher if you need to, and since it is a single handle, it takes up half the room in your utensil drawer.
This is my second. It will make a fantastic gift for my sister!
