Kirby G4 A deal of a lifetime
We purchased an American dream in a G4 Kirby vacuum as there is no better vacuum on the planet than a Kirby!
The Kirby G4 turned out to be as good as advertized and works like a new machine.I machine polised it, put in a new HEPA filter bag and it looks and works like brand new.
It was a deal of a lifetimne! You got to love the self-propelled drive. With the touch of a finger, it glides across the floor effortlessly.
Puts the high priced plastic ones to shame!!!

Heritage 11 Kirby, still the best Vacuum on Planet Earth.
1 of 1 found this helpful I have owned a Kirby Classic that my parents bought new for my wife and myself for a wedding present in 1975. We still use it and it works as good as the day we first used it. We also own a Heritage 11 that we use in the motor home and now own a G4 and a G7 Damond. Through the 1950's & 1960's my parents always owned a Kirby.
Like other Kirby owners we tried a plastic brand once and three yeasrs later it was toast .
If you want to buy the very best vacuum on planet earth, then buy a Kirby! There really is no comparrision between a Kirby and the highest priced plastic ones.
The only beef I have is, when I hear somone stupidly say, "Oh the Kirby's, there so heavy" Really?? The first chance you have, take a bathroom scales and weigh a Kirby Heritage ll and then weigh a Dyson. Then tell me which one weighs the most!
Or better yet, vacuum your living room carpet with a Dyson or any other high end priced plastic vacuums, then go behind it with a 25 year old Heritage ll and pick up the dirt the Dyson and the plastics did not pick up.
Dyson's claim to fame is, "It never looses it's suction"! That's a great sales slogan, but the fact is, they don't have enough suction to get the job done!
The Kirby not only gets the dirt on the top of the carpet, but also gets the dirt down deep in the carpet fibers that the plastcics don't get.
