Great value for telephoto
2 of 2 found this helpful Detailed review of this lens at Ken Rockwell's page is borne out by my experience with it. It's not image stabilized so a tripod is handy for shots at the far end of the zoom range. I use it on a Canon EOS 5D Mk II body when I want a lightweight zoom, particularly in adverse conditions where I'd be reluctant to haul along the far more expensive (three pound!) 70-200 mm f/2.8 L IS II.
