PRINCE Black Album RARE JAPAN CD OBI WPCR-160

The anomaly in Prince's catalog with the most attention, and there's good reason for it!
Prince's Black Album was apparently his attempt at winning back the black audience he had lost in years prior when he scored with a Top 40 audience. Prince himself decided to pull it out of production because of it's negative slant, but Warner Bros. reissued it for two months in a very limited run years later. Some of Prince's hottest tracks are here like "Superfunkycaligragisexy" and "2 Nigs United For West Compton." "When 2 R In Love" ended up on The Black Album's replacement "Lovesexy." The Japan pressing is worth seeking simply because it's a higher quality presentation. Lyrics are in the booklet whereas other pressings around the globe came with only a black square for an insert. Definitely a treasure for music lovers!
