Fits perfect. Works well.
Upon arrival, I thoroughly inspected this keyboard and compared it to the original. It was a perfect match. Locating tabs, ribbon wire location and mounting tabs were identical. Backlight worked too. Actually this replacement keyboard was better then OEM piece. If you look closely at the second photo, you can see the error. There were two letter N keys installed from factory. ZXNVBNM
My Toshiba Portege is the R30C and is the bilingual Canadian model. As such, it has the English, and French lettering and characters. Since I only wanted the English version, this one was perfect.
Tip #1. If your backlight doesn't work, check the setting in your BIOS to see if it's enabled.
Tip #2. Since you have to disassemble your notebook in order to install the replacement keyboard, now would be the perfect time to clean and apply fresh thermal paste between the CPU/GPU and heat sink.
