Best Value Tower Speakers under $500
2 of 2 found this helpful I did a lot of research before buying, and for sound quality to price ratio it doesn't get any better than these Yammy speakers. I am blown away by the bass, mids and highs. Perfect balance of each. If you've got a small room and turn up the bass on your receiver, you'll find you won't need a subwoofer.
I used polyfill behind the 8 inch drivers and mids to clear out a little boominess I noticed with the bass response (yes, the speakers have a port but it is separated from the drivers by a foam rubber barrier, so the polyfill stays in place). Lows and mids tightened up nicely. Highs are very crisp and precise, but not overly bright.
Only con is they are BIG. Almost 4 ft high, but they look cool.
BUY 'EM! You won't regret it.

Cool knife, Kabar quality
1 of 1 found this helpful Looks great. Very sharp. Easy to secure and carry in your pocket with the clip on the handle. Legal to carry (in Texas, at least), that's always a plus.

Best all around Vandoren Bari MP.
Good intonation. Easy blowing. You can honk it on the low notes or play it sweet and mellow. Use for big band, classical music or even solo work in jazz. B95 is a bit too open for me. B75 is the Goldilocks mouthpiece... just right.
