Does its job, and does it well

Old thermostat was jammed open. New one does the job it's supposed to - quick warm-up of the coolant, then keeps the temperature pegged mid-gauge. No leaks; all is good.

Flimsy; don't stay attached - flew off on first drive.

While these look very close to the OEM item, they are of inferior quality, with the material composition and moulding shape not allowing the item to positively engage the channel retention. As a result, the item was blown away by the wind on the first drive. If you glued them on, they would work fine, but that completely misses the point of having removable covers - you want to be able to remove them, but only when you want to, not when the wind decides to.
