Engaging, violent at times, blend of fact and fantasy.
1 of 1 found this helpful While there is a fair amount of violence, the story is engaging and suited for those who enjoy anything Roman, mixed with some fantasy.
The story line is well developed and highlights the ancient Celtic people of Britain and the control exerted over them by their self-serving Druid priests. The uninvited arrival of the Roman army creates conflict between the Celtic tribes and the Druid priests and upsets the balance and order of the people of Britannia and changes their lives forever.

Breaker Morant - a tragic incident
I ordered this for my mum and she enjoyed it. She is interested in Australian history.

A classic for Agatha Christie fans
Despite having seen this several times I am an ardent Agatha Christie fan and particularly enjoy the way in which the characters are portrayed by a cast of superb actors under the skilful direction of Matthew Read. Geraldine McEwan is, in my opinion the best Miss Marple and this is one of her best portrayals.
