best coir i've used

accepts water quickly and fluff's up well don't drown it. i had one brick that was especially difficult to get to accept water and didn't fluff up like the others but seemed to hold more when it finally did start to absorb it. so it took an hour to expand instead of 35 to 45 minutes. i took an 'active role' in the process.i took the blocks apart as they would. crushed the dry in my hand when it would. i feel the coir fluffed up better this way. mostly 2 blocks filled a 10 cubic foot about 3/4 to 7/8 of the way. if i can i'll get a picture. i believe that's very good volume per brick. the bricks are not real uniform in size but there are some very large ones and some are the usual size I've gotten from other sources. the larger ones expanded faster generally and had great volume. the smaller ones expanded well and had maybe a little less volume but not much,.everything is a sub irrigated container with this stuff. to water my seedlings in 2" containers i just poured the water into the tray the coir absorbed it better than a sponge,i'm going to put it into some sub irrigated containers i have and see how it does. i'm quite happy with this stuff. very happy. i will buy more as the occasion requires
