Nad'S Natural Hair Removal Gel 6oz
17 September 2022
Effective removal & safe for your lungs
I have used Nad's hair removal gel for years. I prefer it to wax, because it doesn't need to be warmed in order to spread it. Also, it's easy to remove any residual gel. You just need to rinse with warm water. I have found it most effective on my face. It does a pretty good job at removing the finer hairs. You only need a thin layer for it to work. I did have some difficulty with the coarser hair on my legs, but the gel still removed it. You can't repeat using the strips more than a couple of times in one session. I found the material absorbed the gel after a few uses, making it too liquid to grab any hairs. It has a very light fragrance, so it shouldn't irritate slightly sensitive lungs/sinuses. The only major drawback that I have experienced is when the weather gets very hot. After several days of high summer heat, the gel started to crystallize. I couldn't find a way to stop or fix that.

Tammy Tyree
I enjoy these films because the heroine, while an innocent, is very perceptive. She grew up around older people & absorbed their wisdom. I also like them because the hero could be attracted to the heroine without it degenerating into sex. Your whole family could watch these movies. Tammy is an "old soul" who was raised by her grandparents in a shanty boat on the Mississippi. She has lived her entire life on the river, having little contact with "the world". She is naturally friendly, never having learned that talking to strangers can be dangerous. She speaks the truth without malice & is genuine in her desire to help. Although her vocabulary is antiquated, being raised away from all the shallowness of society has given her an ability to see past the masks worn by those around her. She makes mistakes to be sure, but they are made out of her eagerness to understand the world around her. I think there is a good mixture of common sense & comedy. Tammy reminds those around her of what it was like when they were young & seeing things for the first time; when life was uncomplicated & uncluttered. Although I liked Debbie Reynolds in the first film, I think Sandra Dee did a good job in the next two. There is some singing (when Tammy wonders about being in love), but both these women have good voices, so I found it rather enjoyable. If you like a good story without special effects or a lot of action, I would recommend these films.

Proper Adaptation & Interpretation of Mansfield Park
I quite enjoyed this adaptation. I have read the book & think the writers stayed fairly close to Jane Austen's "tone". I have seen adaptations of her other books, this is superior to most. The screenwriters were able to stay away from interjecting a modern feel to the script. They also gave the characters some depth. The casting was quite good as well. Billie Piper does an excellent job of playing Fanny. She is able to strike that delicate balance between showing deference to her "betters" & being her own person. The internal struggle of her uncle & aunt is evident, they want to love her like she was their own daughter, but society prevents this. The relationships are believable & the sets look like an actual home. It has a clean look to it, the days seem to be naturally sunny & the nights don't seem like they were in a darkened studio. I would recommend this to any Jane Austen lover. My only complaint is that the ending seemed a little rushed. It didn't flow at the same pace as the rest of the film.
