A must-have for any Lightfoot fan or new listener just discovering his music & words.

Gordon Lightfoot is a true singer-songwriter legend. He has had a prolific career, writing pure poetry, which are lyrics set to music he composes. He is known as a perfectionist & it shows in all he does. This 4 CD compilation covers highlights of his career from the 1960s onward. A bonus is the small booklet that is included in which Lightfoot explains what inspired him to write each song featured in the set. I cannot recommend this more highly.

A witty, twisting tale of murder in a seacoast city.

I hope the author will keep writing! His talent for introducing us to a cast of characters ("townies") is as wonderful as his description of the city where this murder mystery takes place. The characters are colorful & I'd swear I know people similar to them. You can smell the ocean air, the stale beer in empty pint glasses from the night before in a local bar & think back to your own years growing up & establishing yourself BUT this book has a twisting tale of a local murder! Who did it?
