SmartDisk FireLite
SmartDisks have been very reliable. I own five of them and use them regularly. Two are back-up drives and two are everyday. One crashed a month ago, however, it was the first one I ever owned and was the most used. I had had it for over five years. Even then, I was able to recover data that I had not yet backed up. These drives are better than thumb drives, they hold more, and are more reliable. I use NintendoDS game cases to carry them securely and safely around and back-and-forth between home and work. I use the drives primarily as my hard drive. I do not even use the cpu hard drive very often. The firewire speed allows the drive to function as quickly as a cpu HD.
