Back before PDAs were everything else, they were PDAs. The m500 is among the last of the line. Truly pocket-sized (shirt, pants, jacket), it is exactly what a PDA should be - organizer, notepad, address book. The email feature is, well...it's usable, but not the selling point for this PDA. It basically allows you to sync your email, read it later, tap out a reply, then send it later. But you have to be hooked up to your PC or using infrared to do it. And if you're that close, you might as well use your computer.
Where the m500 shines is the other stuff. It comes with 8MB or built-in RAM, which holds A LOT of info (remember that everything is simple text, so 8MB is a bunch). You can sync with your PC to get your calendar, memos/notes, and address book. If you have a cell phone the address book is probably redundant, but you never know. And then there are the Palm apps. Thousands of them, for free, for a little, and for a lot. The screen is monochrome (greenish-gray), but the resolution is clear and contrast is high. And speaking of the screen, it is glass, not plastic. Nice glass. Gives this PDA a real nice look and feel. But be careful, it's glass. It'll scratch. Get a screen protector.
The only thing that kept me from giving this an Excellent rating is the expansion card slot and sync software. First, this is an old PDA. It will take an SD card, but if it's over 1GB, it's unusable in the PDA. And 1GB SD cards are hard to find. And second, the sync software. The latest version Palm made with the m500 specifically in mind was 4.1.4. They are now up to 6.2. This is, of course, to keep up with Windows OS updates. 6.2 works with the m500, but is a bit buggy with the older PDA. You can sync to Palm Desktop, but syncing with your Outlook (such as Outlook 2007) just doesn't work. If you have Windows XP, 4.1.4 will work for you, but not 6.2. Too bad. Still, in this age of cell phones, you're probably not getting this PDA for communication purposes.
All in all, I like this PDA. It has a bigger screen than a smartphone, is a good size, and will keep you organized and decently entertained with all its software options. A throwback to times gone by, and a good one at that.

It's a cable, it works
Needed an additional cable for the phone so I could charge at home and in the car. This one fit the bill at a great price. Works for my Galaxy S5 as well as my Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 tablet. Great value!

Best docking station I've had for multiple computers
Since the great "Work from Home" era began 3+ years ago I've gone through maybe a dozen docking stations. The only ones I can rely on day in and day out are Dell. The D6000 is my one of choice (though it would be even better with a card reader). Works for my work Dell and home Acer, and it has USB-C and USB-A connectivity options on a built-in cable (an extra 6 inches on the cable would have been nice too).
