Recording DVD's didn't work

Doesn't keep a charge
I used my battery right out of the package and it had all green lights lit up and I noticed in the middle of my sleep that the CPAP was shut off. I'm not sure if this is because I should have charged it before use. I thought it was good to go right out of box because of all green lights were lit.
