Not one failed to burn so far...

Perhaps not as good as the Taiyo Yudens of the past, but certainly does the job without failing to burn - not one failed for me so far, and I've burned over 100!

Non-sexy looking good contender.

Although the connection on top is for an older iPhone and doesn't look hip, you can still connect it to your new iPhone with an adapter and the sound is where this shines. It has no less than 8 speakers! 2 are passive ones for the bass - no magnets in the back. The sound is basically right color, without unpleasant color to the sound, which is more than you can say about many car and home stereos costing up to several thousands of $ these days... The bass, mid, top all sound pretty good. Since it's the amp section is not that powerful, and the woofers are small, you are not going to be blown away with the sound - rather you will hear music that is enjoyable and non-fatiguing. If you don't mind the non-sexy look of this past unit (over a decade old must be), than this will reward in sonic excellence for so little money for that tight spot like kitchen, bedroom, computer desk, what not...

Bang and Olufson like appearance and good sound to boot.

It sounds great for it's size and looks sleek and sexy as well, for all the tight spaces around the house, like kitchen, gym, and garage, etc.
