A nice change from Halo ...

Since we saw it reviewed on X-Play this game got our attention. The frozen setting and other unusual features make it worth trying out. Online play is a very nice addition to campaign mode, and works well. OTOH the AI is not particularly advanced, and online matching needs to be watched if you are afraid to be repeatedly owned when a noob. Gameplay, however, is great, and weapon choice is good. You get to show off your Zelda skills with a grapple shot. And it even has mechs! Compared with the vast swamp of games, Lost Planet deserves to get an "Excellent" rating. But I still have to laugh at futuristic FPSs with shotguns and Glocks ...
