UNLOCKED Huawei E5573 4G Pocket Wifi Brand New in Package

IT background required to set up

Given that this device is deemed unlocked, I had expected that once i stick a working data card into it it would just work. Unfortunately,it did not. i can see the wifi icon/signal was on but yet i couldn't load anything from the internet. It turns out the device needed to be activated (APN setting??) and for a non IT background user the steps seemed technical. The device came with no instructions or forewarning of this requirement so i couldn't figure out what the issue was and was thinking initially that i bought a faulty device. Once APN set up etc, it worked very well and i had no further issues with the device.
