great lens producing very 3-d images
beautiful lens for photographic pleasure. there is absolutely no distortion to be found in the lens, it has a wonderful focusing feel, I lucked out and got one with no focus play what so ever, but a vast majority of these lenses have a tiny bit of focus play.
It's sharp from 2.0 and gets razor sharp from 3.5-8.0
has the best flare resistance that I've ever dealt with in a lens, so shooting into the sun becomes a total joy.
Best of all it has that magical Zeiss 3-d quality in spades.
the reason I rated it 4/5 is because of their quality control issues regarding the focus play and the relatively big size for the lens.
