Ping Rapture Club distance
1 of 1 found this helpful 6/12/09
Hello, I just purchased 4-W & U Regular Graphite/black dot/C9 weight Raptures to replace my current ping zings. I'm a 6-8 handicap.
I played two rounds with these clubs and I'll tell you what I have found.
These clubs hit high loft shots, exactly one club short, i.e my 5 iron would hit like a 6 iron distance etc...These were black dot with a C9 weight. Great feeling when you hit the ball solid but not much distance as claimed.
I sent my clubs to ping repair to be turned to blue dot with 1/2 strong loft. Cost for blue dot & 1/2 strong is $18.00 for all clubs + plus return shipping cost!!!!The 1/2 strong will fore go loft and add distance, so instead of my 9 iron black dot iron getting only about 135yd, I hope my blue dot 9 iron 1/2 strong will now get my usual 150yds. (I have always hit my 9 iron 150 yds solid.)
These are not bad clubs, but I'll give these a try when they return & post another feedback. My advice is, research the ping model first by serial number, get all info on the club specs. Ping only charges $18.00 to change color and loft but the weight change is $13.70 per club.

Bc1 putter review
0 of 1 found this helpful I purchased a BC1 Mizuno Bettinardi putter hoping this is the putter I was looking for my game. Well, it sure didn't live up to its hype. Let's start with the good...good looking & roll of the putter head. Cons, what feeling? When you putt, the sound, sounds like when knock on metal. My old odyysey is way better in the feel department. My advice, find a Black carbon to try first.

Mizuno Reg graphite 9.5
5 of 5 found this helpful Pros-addressing the ball is great. Overall balance is excellent from one end to the other, club is light and the head doesn't have that heavy feeling, you know if you put a doughnut weight on the end of a club and swing it, it doesn't have that feeling. The sound is on the high end but sound great. Distance is excellent even on mis-hits.
Cons-if you are a natural high ball hitter, then get a 9*. Gets big loft if you tee it up low. Not much roll. Too bad Mizuno doesn't match other offers of a free fairway wood with purchase.
