Smash Hit 50's sitcom

A Classic which was almost lost thanks to the 50's and 60's policy of wiping film reels after a few years. There are 50 episodes available in this box set out of the154 originally broadcast. Sadly just three episodes from series 1 and 1 from series 2 still exist which is a shame as these were the best episodes for me but all episodes from series 3 and 8 more from series 4 are here for your viewing pleasure. The characters in this are largely funny, relatable and engaging, especially Alfie Bass who plays Bootsie. If you enjoy classic sitcoms then you will likely be entertained by this and would likely also enjoy the spin-off Bootsie and Snudge which have also been rediscovered.

Classic, long forgotten comedy duo

This was considered to be a lost sitcom until it's recent find and release on DVD in 2012. Many shows from the 60's and beyond were subject to "wiping", a process of destroying or recording over previous film reels but thankfully only 4 episodes are missing from this show. One of these is missing from series 1 (episode 40). This still makes for a fantastic bargain of 39 episodes to be seen in this classic collection. Bill Fraser and Alfie Bass as the titular characters make for a fantastic comedy pairing with Bootsie being the downtrodden gopher and Snudge as the "superior" character and straight-man. The pair were first seen in The Army Game and were so successful that they spawned this spin-off which ran for a total of 104 episodes. If you enjoy classic comedy such as Dad's Army, Steptoe and Son, Hancock's Half Hour etc. and are open to humour which isn't the same as today's then you'll likely enjoy this.

Thin on content but thick with bugs

Whilst this game looks great in VR and sets a palpable atmosphere the game is very poor. On my first play through I glitches through a wall which I didn't even realise was a problem. I simply thought it was part of the game and only when I couldn't continue any further in the game 20+ minutes later and restarted did I come to know this. Save your money and don't waste your time. People who gave this 5 star reviews are either trying to beef up a game in order to sell it or really don't know about gaming.
