Critical thought-short stories to make you engaged and inspired in your writing.
I was about to list my sons copy of which it seems we have two of everything. Like the young man stated it is required for English and for Creative writing. Anyone who wants to be a writer should buy this book. It is absolutely proven to have 75 plus of the most thought provoking, moving, engaging short stories you can find in one collection.
I planned to read about ten different stories, they are divided in sections; for example ARGUMENT
PERSUASION
COMPARISON AND CONTRAST
DIVISION.
In each of these different sections there are 6 different authors who have their own specific topic.
NARRATION
The Authors here include George Orwell, Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou,Malcolm X,David Sedaris and Martin Gansberg.
There are people in this collection that run the gamut from E.B. White, Judith Viorst,Mark Twain, Joan Didion to Franz Kafka,Martin Luther King, Alan Dershowitz and Amy Tan. They all have something compelling, relevant, and vibrant to say and you will be immediately drawn in and not be able to move to another until you've given thought, or written your own feelings on what provoked the emotions you felt after reading their stimulating, engrossing and provoking stories.
A must read for all students, but also a must read for anyone who likes to think, write, hear other people's views on subjects you most probably have not given a lot of thought to about before.

Great, works, makes sense and is doable
Super fabulous product. If you are interested in modern calligraphy this is the book for you. I knew what it was and that's it. Now I can do and do it well enough for people to think I know what I'm doing.
